RCBO stands for Residual Current Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent protection. It is a type of circuit breaker that combines the functions of a Residual Current Device (RCD) and a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) in one unit. The RCD function protects against earth leakage faults, while the MCB function protects against overcurrent faults. ELCB RCBO detects earth faults but can also detect overcurrents, such as short circuits or overloads, and provide additional protection by disconnecting the circuit in these situations as well.
